CALHOUN COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – A significant milestone for one local business in Calhoun County as they officially joined the community in providing short-term rental solutions.

Gary Wigington, owner of Calhoun County Short-Term Rental says it’s a tough business to get into, but once your in, the reward is something special. It’s a huge milestone for this local business as they officially joined the Anniston community in providing short-term rental solutions.

“I was born and raised here in Calhoun County, there’s a lot of things going on in Calhoun County as far as development, bicycle races, and Choccolocco Park which brings a ton of people to the area,” Wigington said.

Catering to various needs, from travelers, to those planning a staycation, or individuals hosting friends and family, Wigington says he’s dedicated to offering short-term rental options in and around Calhoun County.

“Business owners that come into town, they’re looking for a place to stay. They may have their family with them, and not too many people to stay in one motel room, so, I partnered with the chamber and they’re sending us referrals for other families that come in town and want to put up an executive or something like that for a few days, so, it’s going to work out great and beneficial for the both of us.”

With this new partnership with the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce, Wigington says strategic locations add to the convenience for guests seeking accommodations.

“It’s rewarding for people to always write back and say how nice it was and we enjoyed it. It was like staying at home, so it’s very rewarding and I like the business. It’s a hospitality business and that’s just the kind of person I try to be so it’s very rewarding.”

Wigington says that he looks for homes in nice, upscale communities to give his customers a peace of mind and a chance to relax whenever they’re in town.
