Lewisville City Council passes ordinance regulating short-term rentals – Star Local Media

During a Lewisville City Council meeting on Monday, Jan. 8, council held a public hearing on an interim prohibition on short-term rentals and voted to amend the Lewisville Code of Ordinances’ regulations related to short-term rentals.

The city of Lewisville has been tracking short-term rentals through the Host Compliance software platform since January 2020. Since then, the city has seen over an 80% increase in the number of short-term rentals from 51 to 93 units.
