DANBURY — Recent meetings gave local vacation rental owners a chance to learn more about the proposed occupancy tax, ask questions and have a say in the process.

The proposed 6% tax would be paid by those staying overnight in short-term rental facilities (fewer than 90 days), calculated along with sales tax and added to the room fees.
