PORT SHELDON TWP. — Despite opposition on social media, a public hearing during Port Sheldon’s Board of Trustees meeting last week was decidedly positive, with very few voices against a potential short-term rental ordinance.

The township is the latest municipality to grapple with short-term rentals (STRs) and has largely taken a conservative role. Based on comments Wednesday, Jan. 10, the community favors that decision.
