Short-term rentals in Tuolumne County must now be inspected – Union Democrat

Tuolumne County and state fire authorities are reminding people that a new county law requires “fire and life safety inspections” for short-term rentals, which include any place rented out for overnight lodging for one night to not more than 30 days.

The new law in Tuolumne County is Ordinance Code Chapter 8.70, and it’s been effective since Jan. 19, county fire and Cal Fire staff said in a news release Monday.
